Totally Rad.

I say it’s time to bring back the 80s. The clothing style was phenomenal: sequins, poof skirts, ripped leggings, legwarmers, . Bright, bold, colorful. Even though I was born too late in the 1980s to enjoy the fashion, a skirt and leggings was often my go-to outfit through high school.

Now that all of the cool Millennial kids have decided that scrunchies are no longer butt ugly, it’s time to break out the velvet. And by that, I mean the yarn, velvet yarn. Please put the velvet sweatpants away.

Have you used velvet yarn? OMG. It’s totally tubular. I found some Bernat Velvet Yarn at my local Michaels store and immediately fell in love. It was the squishiness that sold me. Plus, 19 color choices. Nineteen. Need I say more? If you answered “gag me with a spoon”, too bad. I have so much more to say, but I will get to the point.

Bernat’s velvet yarn is 100% polyester chenille. It’s durable, lush, and has a perfect shine. Plus, it makes the most bodacious scrunchie. Today, I’ve got a FREEEEEE pattern for you! The Totally Tubular Scrunchie. (Now say that 5 times fast).
