Hello Friends!

Here we are. It’s finally Friday. What’s a better way to end the week than with a FREE PATTERN! This is my Retro Rainbow Beanie. It’s a crochet beanie made with worsted weight yarn. I am in love with retro colors. I love the darker shades and how well they go together. Below, you’ll find the supply list, stitches, and pattern for size 0-3 months.

I used Premier Yarns Basix yarn. It’s amazingly soft and a great price. They have 48 colors to choose from!

Next, it’s time to make a pom pom! There are 2 ways to make a pom but I’m going to show you 1 way.

Take your Clover Pom Pom maker. Beginning with the red color yarn and ending with the purple, wrap around the pom pom maker in sections.

Repeat with the other side of the pom pom maker. Close the maker, cut around in the grooves. Use any color yarn, cut a string and tie around the pom pom maker. Pull maker apart and you have your pom pom! Trim to the size you would like.

Another way to design a pom for this beanie is to wrap your colors around the maker randomly on each side.

And that’s it! You have your new Retro Rainbow Beanie in size 0-3 months. I’d love to see your finished beanies. Tag @puglovecrochet and #puglovecrochet #retrorainbowbeanie on Instagram or Facebook!
