How long have you been cross stitching?
Since I was around 10 years old
When did you start Stitches by Shelley?
2018
Why did you start?
I was looking for an income that also allowed me to stay home with my children
What’s your favorite thing you’ve made?
Teen Witch cross stitch
What’s a piece of advice for someone just starting out in your field?
Do not be hard on yourself and compare your work to others. You are unique!
What was your most memorable success?
When Gretchen Rossi from Real Housewives of OC shared my stitch on her IG stories
What was your most memorable challenge?
Stitching the cast of RHOBH
How did or are you overcoming this challenge?
Lots of reworking and pulling out threads!
What’s next for Stitches by Shelley?
I am currently working on my business plan for xmas rush. Last year, I was not prepared for amount of orders- this year I will have it more streamlined.

What’s your latest project?
I am working on embroidering a logo for a local medical group
Where did the inspiration come from for this project?
It was a commission
Have there been any challenges with this project?
Yes, I am much more comfortable with cross stitch and this will be embroidery

Hopefully within a week!
