All About SimpleBeans

When did you start SimpleBeans?

I started in 2009 just as a side thing when I had the time. However, it took a big backseat to life for a while. I reinvented my brand and goals 2 years ago.

Why did you start?

For a hobby, a goal to do something with the making I was doing at the time. It really started as a blog, a place to share what I was up to.

How long have you been making?

I started making jewelry 12 years ago, about the same time I started knitting. Macrame came on board 3 years ago.

What’s a piece of advice?

Make sure you are doing projects that are fun for YOU to do, if the item is popular but it’s not as fun, don’t make it. Mix it up, or you won’t want to do your hobby anymore.

Does SimpleBeans have a mascot?

Not officially, but my dog Eugene is often in my Instagram

What’s your most memorable challenge?

Keeping spirits up when a “no” comes in for a market or something I love just doesn’t sell.

What’s next for SimpleBeans?

COVID has changed some plans! But I think I might be doing some virtual markets this fall, that will be a new venture. And I am hoping to put together more macrame kits for the gifting season. I also want to share more how tos on my Instagram.

Check out the amazing packaging Jenni does for her makes. The little personal touches make these so special.
The cutest little cacti I've ever seen.
