Starting today and for the next couple of Wednesdays, I have some FREE patterns I want to share. This patterns are perfect for all of your holiday makes or markets! Feel free to make as many as you want and you may sell anything you make from these patterns. Please give credit to PugLove Crochet when you sell or list them online.


Here is the timeline for all the Free Holiday Patterns:


11/23- Anchorage Cowl (knit)

11/30- Atticus Beanie (knit)

12/7- Little Debbie Tree (crochet)


Up first is the Anchorage Cowl. This circular knitted scarf is named after the place where I was born: Anchorage, Alaska! This scarf only takes 2 hours to create and has a repeating pattern.

k- knit

p- purl

(#)- number of stitches

kp (decrease)- knit pass bind off. Knit the first stitch, knit the second stitch and then pass the first stitch over the second stitch. Knit the next stitch and pass the first stitch over the second stitch and repeat. 

Notes

**When using Lion Brand Woolease Thick and Quick, the yardage is different for some of the colors. If you pick a SOLID color, it’s different than a MIXED color yarn. This will affect the width of your cowl.

Solid colors: 106yds

Mixed colors: 87yds

 

**Your first stitch and last stitch will be the same. This does not affect the look of the pattern at all. Use the stitch marker to keep track of where you start each round.

Pattern

Using a SOLID color of Lion Brand Woolease Thick and Quick

Round 1: co 60 +1 stitches using the long tail cast on method. Connect the two ends (60). 

*Add your stitch marker to the first stitch to keep track of the beginning stitch.

Round 2: k1p1, repeat (60)

Round 3: p1k1, repeat (60)

Round 4-33: repeat round 2 and round 3, creating the seed stitch. (30 rounds total) (60)

Round 34 (bind off round)-kp knit pass bind off. Knit the first stitch, knit the second stitch and then pass the first stitch over the second stitch. Knit the next stitch and pass the first stitch over the second stitch and repeat until you have one stitch remaining. Cut the yarn and pull through remaining stitch tightly. Weave in your ends. 

Using a MIXED color of Lion Brand Woolease Thick and Quick

Round 1: co 60 +1 stitches using the long tail cast on method. Connect the two ends (60)

*Add your stitch marker to the first stitch to keep track of the beginning stitch

Round 2: k1p1, repeat (60)

Round 3: p1k1, repeat (60)

Round 4-28: repeat round 2 and round 3, creating the seed stitch. (25 rounds total) (60)

Round 29 (bind off round)-kp knit pass bind off. Knit the first stitch, knit the second stitch and then pass the first stitch over the second stitch. Knit the next stitch and pass the first stitch over the second stitch and repeat until you have one stitch remaining. Cut the yarn and pull through remaining stitch tightly. Weave in your ends.
