Hello Friends, here it is. My first *FREE* pattern! The Breezy Basket. Named because it is such a breeze to make. Well, a breeze after I frogged a few designs before figuring this one out. By using a larger hook and the chunky yarn, this basket was quick to whip up-under 2 hours. Plus, this pattern calls for only 1 skein of yarn. That’s right folks, a 1 skein project! Rejoice!

Now, let’s talk about the yarn. I used Bernat Pop! Bulky from Yarnspirations and it is a dream to work with. Thick, chunky yarn is my jam because of how fast you can crochet or knit items up. It’s a bulky 6 category yarn that is 100% acrylic plus, it comes in so. many. colors. I purchased mine at my local Herrschners but it’s also available at Yarnspirations.com. When I purchased my yarn, I wasn’t sure what it was going to become. I knew a hat was out of the question (it was a hot summer day) but it took me a while to figure it out. After a few failed trials, I perfected the Breezy Basket. I use mine to store my instant cameras and all of the film. Honestly, these baskets would be great in a kids playroom, a bathroom, or at the front entry to your house. The finished basket will be about 7″ tall and 11″ wide.
