What’s a quote that you live by? 

There is always enough to share.

 

What’s 1 (or more) weird/strange fact(s) about you?

 I have never lived outside my hometown.

 

What’s the most spontaneous thing you’ve done in your life? 

Quit my job to stay home with my kids.

 

Do you have a favorite holiday? 

Christmas. I love the lights, the snow, the songs, the smells. 


Do you have a favorite season? 

Spring. I love all the flowers blooming.

 

What inspires or motivates you?

I’m inspired a lot by nature.

 

If you could do one thing for the world (people or environment), what would it be? 

World Peace. But really, I wish people could get along better. Disagreeing isn’t a reason to be rude, it’s a chance to listen to the other side and see if you need to re-evaluate your view on a matter.

 

Anything Else?

I’ve been married for 12.5 years. We have 4 kids, 3 boys and 1 girl. We are moving out of the country next year for my husband to attend veterinary school.

How long have you been Cross Stitching/Embroidery?

About a year and a half

When did you start your business or hobby?

I started my business in January 2019

Why did you start?

I wanted something to fun to do that would allow me to brighten the life of those around me.

What’s your favorite thing you’ve made?

I have really been loving stitching wedding portraits lately!

What’s a piece of advice for someone just starting out in your field?

Reach out to other makers and build friendships. Sometimes they are your biggest supporters! Plus it’s fun to find friends all over the world.

What was your most memorable success?

Making my first etsy sale. It was a complete stranger and someone that wasn’t even following me on social media.

What’s next for your business (the future)?

I’d like to create more digital patterns.

What’s your latest project? 

I have a few floral state hoops I’m working on. I also just launched Stitch People Christmas ornaments.

Where did the inspiration come from for this project? 

Just wanting to create something new and grow my portfolio of work.

Have there been any challenges with this project? 

Figuring out how to get everything to fit in all these funny shaped states..
