Do you have a job outside of this?
Not anymore I am a stay at home wife and mother.
What’s your dream vacation spot?
Hmmm that’s a hard one. There are lots of places I would love to go, but a cabin in the woods by a lake would be the most peaceful vacation spot for me.
What’s your favorite color(s)?
I would have to say that green has definitely taken over in a big way, followed by yellow and blue in just about any shade.
What’s your favorite food/meal?
Always always Mexican! I love enchiladas and chimichangas
from an authentic Mexican restaurant.
What’s your least favorite food/meal?
I am not a big fan of seafood.
Do you have a favorite movie or TV show?
I LOVE MOVIES!! I’m not sure I have a favorite
anymore. But I am always a sucker for 80s movies. I don’t currently have a favorite TV show but
the two TV series that I can and have watched repeatedly are One Tree Hill and Call the Midwife.
What’s a quote that you live by?

Do you have other hobbies?
Writing, Reading,
listening to music, making tshirts and painting.
What’s 1 (or more) weird/strange fact(s) about you?
I don’t like painting my fingernails because
it makes my nails feel heavy, but I paint my toenails.
If you had a theme song, WHAT would it be?
Hills and Valleys by Tauren Wells
What’s the most spontaneous thing you’ve done in your life?
I am a planner. Spontaneous activities give me anxiety. I like to have a plan.
Do you have a favorite holiday?
Christmas because it holds some of my favorite memories from childhood with my family.
Do you have a favorite season?
Fall because of the weather, fashion and because it’s the
beginning of football season.
What inspires or motivates you?
Definitely my family.
If you could do one thing for the world (people or environment), what would it be?
Change how the world sees Black people as a whole.
All About Cosmic Creations N’ Designs
How long have you been crocheting and knitting?
I have been crocheting a little over nine years, Tunisian crocheting for about three years and knitting for almost two years.
When did you start?
I started crocheting at the end of 2011.
Why did you start?
My oldest daughter got a kit for Christmas and wanted me to learn with her.
What’s your favorite thing you’ve made?
My favorite make of all time was my crochet granny
square coat. I made it for my 40th birthday, but it was also made during a very difficult time in
my life. So it holds sentimental value.
What’s a piece of advice for someone just starting out in your field?
Don’t be afraid to try new
skills. Youtube is full of tutorial videos that can teach you just about anything.
What’s next for you?
I am getting ready to start a blog because there are
a lot of things I want to talk and write about. I’m hoping to eventually write a book. That is a major goal and dream for me.
The Future for Cosmic Creations N’ Designs
What’s your latest project?
Oh man I am working on so many things right now. I am designing a granny square dress in collaboration with Hobbii Yarn and their #noshadesofgrey campaign.
Where did the inspiration come from for this project?
I have always wanted to make a granny
square dress. I just love all the things you can do with granny squares.
Have there been any challenges with this project?
Some, just trying to figure out the colors
mostly. I changed the top part of the dress and how I want to do the back of the dress at least five times. Plus it feels like it’s taken me longer than I originally anticipated, but I’m almost done with it.

You will be able to
find it on my Instagram page when I’m done.
When will it be finished?
I should be finished before the end of the month.
